Founded in 1930 in Chicago, Replogle Globes International is the world’s largest manufacturer of globes. There is a Replogle globe in the Oval Office, and it is likely the globes in your local school’s classrooms also were made by Replogle. In 2010, Replogle selected SD-X Interactive as its partner for its first electronic interactive project, Intelliglobe. The two companies worked closely together in a creative relationship for 10 months to produce a successful highly educational product that is enjoying strong and steady sales worldwide.

Known as the Intellipen, the SD-X reader sold with Intelliglobe has 1 GB of easily updatable memory and plays spoken audio in four languages, English, Spanish, German, and French.

Dell Torgerson, product development manager for Replogle Globes International, reports that Intelliglobe has had strong distribution in the company’s traditional markets and has added distribution in Latin America and Europe.
